Behind The Lens

Location

This was by Imperial gardens in the town I live in, Cheltenham. That's in the cotswolds in England.

Time

I took this about 8.30 am one morning in October. Just as the sun was rising.

Lighting

Well it's all natural lighting during golden hour in the autumn morning. My favourite time to shoot.

Equipment

This was iPhone 5s. Also edited on it.

Inspiration

I love silhouette and street photography. I've taken many similar shots and edited them in this style. Capturing daily life and turning it into something magical is a wonderful thing to be able to share.

Editing

Yes these shots are all edited on an app called tadaa. Used to be a social sharing app too, but that aspect disappeared two years ago.

In my camera bag

Well other than my iPhone, I use my new Sony A7ii. I've got two lenses for it: a 24-240mm f3.5-6 and a zeiss 55mm f1.8. I want more, but there quite pricey!! My manfrotto tripod is invaluable too.

Feedback

Well if you want silhouette, the right light is essential. And be patient for the right subject!
