Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at the Grand Canyon while on vacation. I'm a self-taught photographer therefore each experience is versatile and a learning one.

Time

This was taken on July 12, 2015 at 10:08 am. I walked around the Canyon quite a bit trying to decide which angle I liked best. Then finally I walked to the South Grand Canyon where I found what I believed to be the perfect angle to capture the overall beauty of this National Park.

Lighting

I was able to use the natural lighting to my full advantage in this photo.

Equipment

This was shot on a Nikon Coolpix L26 with no other equipment.

Inspiration

I love taking picture that capture the beauty of nature. So when I arrived at the Grand Canyon I immediately fell in love with the scene. It took me awhile to decide which angle to capture. I walked around for a bit then I got to this spot on the South side and went with my gut feeling to use this spot to take the picture.

Editing

I did no do any post-processing.

In my camera bag

I'm a amateur photographer who fell in love with capturing photos. I haven't been able to get a more professional camera so I generally have my Nikon Coolpix L26 and a Tripod.

Feedback

As a photographer, you should go with your gut feeling. Find an area you're comfortable with and allow your passion to take over and capture the photo.
