Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at a farm house down the street where I live.

Time

I took this at sunrise on my way to work one day.

Lighting

Lighting is key for any photo. I rely on natural lighting for most of my photos. I prefer doing this because the sun can make for some beautiful imagery. Sunrise and sunset photos are my favorite to take.

Equipment

I actually used my phone for this photo. At the time I was using a Samsung Galaxy S5.

Inspiration

I saw the light coming through the trees while stuck in traffic on my way to work. It looked so beautiful I had to take a shot.

Editing

I did do post-processing for this photo. I chose to increase the contrast and saturation to bring out the beautiful colors a camera phone can't quite capture.

In my camera bag

I use a Canon 60D along with the standard 18-200mm kit lense. I also tote a f 1.2 50mm lens. My equipment is not extensive, and I heavily rely on natural lighting for my photos.

Feedback

To capture a photo such as this, go shooting at sunrise. Other than that, just have fun with it. This photo is something I did spontaneously and it's become one of my most popular among my friends, family, and peers.
