Location
This photo was taken in the back vegetable garden. The tiny little frog was resting, partially hidden from the sunshine, on a spinach leaf. I very quickly moved a spinach leaf and managed to snap the photo quickly, as I know that frogs can be very timid.Time
The time of day was possible mid morning (as I am not an early riser, myself). There does not appear to be any dew so I guess that may confirm mid morning rather than early morning.Lighting
The natural sunlight may have been increased by me, by very carefully moving an overhead spinach leaf out of the way to allow more sunshine in as this little frog was hiding a little bit from the full sunshine, as I imagine frogs do.Equipment
I used a hand held camera, as I did not have time to set else anything up, in case the little fellow hopped away.Inspiration
I was walking around the garden armed with my camera (as I do when I have some spare time) when I noticed this little frog and I acted very quickly. Because I do not do much travelling a friend here on View Bug suggested that I explore my own back yard and that I would be pleasantly surprised with what I might find, so I took his advice and he was right.Editing
I don't think I did any post-processing on this photo. In fact looking at it now, I see that I didn't even know the rule of "threes". The same friend on View Bug also bought this rule to my attention.. So I have since cropped this photo and have now re-entered this "edited" photo in another View Bug contest. Here's hoping!!!In my camera bag
The only equipment I own are three different sized tripods and also an attachment that allows me to take a photo by pressing a button on the device rather than on the camera when my camera and the device are connected via a cable. I am not even sure of it's name, but I purchased one as I find it really reduces "camera shake" greatly, for me.Feedback
I would suggest that if you are looking for something in the garden or in nature anywhere, to photograph, then it might pay you to carefully move an odd thing or two to see if anything worth photographing that may be hiding out of view. I hope this helps. Happy shooting!!!
