I took this photo on a boat trip in togean islands, Indonesia. At this time I was more of a beginner when it comes to photography.Time
Honestly, I love this shot, I would lie if i say anything else. I took a boat from Bomda Island to Gorontalo after 3 weeks in what I would say Paradise. We left Togean islands around 4 or 5.pm...people on the boat were buzzing about a stunning sunset and of course I joined everyone else up to the deck. People was speechless while watching this breathtaking sunset. I never seen a sunset or heaven like that before. It was awesome.Lighting
Simply, the light from a sunset. What else do you need?Equipment
I always use my Canon 5D Mark II. And this time i used my favorite lens, as I do most of the time. My Canon 24-70mm f / 2.8L.Inspiration
My inspiration for this one? I love sunsets, I don't know how to explain it, but I think that I, as all other people that love photography wants a perfect photo of a sunset. I had the chance to be at the perfect place and time. And I got a really great photo, right?Editing
Most of my photos are edited in Lightroom, I like lightroom for it's easy and simply to edit photos. AND TO BE HONEST, I'M NOT GOOD AT PHOTOSHOP AND I DO THINK THAT a photo should be as minimal edited as possible. I've enhanced contrast, light and luminance to make it more natural. In my camera bag
My camera bag includes a Canon 5D Mark II, three lenses, a 24-70mm f / 2.8L, 24-105mm f/4L and 70-200mm f/4L. I prefer my 24-70mm f/2.8L lens that is ideal for portraits and a great all around lens.Feedback
In this case, i have to say that's all about being at the right place and right time. Perhaps I was lucky ( obviously i was). Sunsets comes with a specific time, find a good place and stay around until you get that photo you always dreamed about...
