I took this photo In Arizona In a river bed near my house. There were about 4-5 of these guy around and they had seen me coming there multiple times and just got used to me I guess, this one sat on a low branch and let me walk up to about 5 feet away from him to take this photo. I have been shooting since high school with 35mm but this was my first time shooting with a digital camera.Time
I took this at about 3-4 in the afternoon, it was pretty warm out.Lighting
This is done with all natural lighting. No reflectors or OCF.Equipment
I shot this with my first digital camera which was a Panasonic Lumix.Inspiration
I enjoy being outdoors and had never shot anything except landscapes and bugs.Editing
I did do some light editing in Lightroom with this image but nothing to crazy mostly just adjusted the shadows and colors. In my camera bag
Now I shoot with much more equipment and a much bigger camera but at the time my gear consisted of my camera, tripod, water, and a sidearm, (never know what you will run across in the desert and just having one on me has saved me a few times)Feedback
PATIENCE!!! wildlife is very uncontrollable and it takes alot of time and patience to get good shots in nature. and try other things you might find you have a nack for other types of photography. it might not be what you set out to shoot but it might open your eyes to new things.
