Location

A photo shoot in a forest close to Halle, Belgium

Time

it was around 5 in the afternoon. the sun was starting to go down.

Lighting

Natural light is just awesome. There was enough light to shoot at 100 ISO.

Equipment

My Canon 5D Mark II with a Canon 24-70mmL at f/2.8. That's all.

Inspiration

We were just experimenting with the forest surroundings. She was lying down on her back, and I made some kind of bed of leaves to have color and texture around her face.This photo was the start of a series of "Organic portraits", because I liked the effect so much.

Editing

Not much. Some it to the face and some warmer colors.

In my camera bag

Canon 5D Mk2/3, with the 24-70mm, a 50mm f/1.4 and a 70-200mm f/2.8.

Feedback

If the model lies on the ground/floor, point her head towards the light. It gives a nice effect when she looks into the camera and when she looks up towards the light.
