Behind The Lens

Location

This photograph was taken in the fields of sunflowers of Castilla la Mancha, Spain.

Time

The photograph was taken at 11.00 am, while he was traveling had to stop the car to the vast fields of sunflowers. I would have liked to perform this photograph at sunrise or aterdecer, with a less harsh light, but the trip did not allow me to stop longer. Although I became a reflection back another time to do it with a better light.

Lighting

The lighting was natural to use, yet it was not very strong at the time that the make, use color to highlight the polarizer and intensify blue sky filter.

Equipment

The photograph was taken with my Canon 7D Mark II, with a goal that every day I wonder more, the Sigma 17-50mm 2.8. Taken without flash or tripod, light allowed me to use a rate to shoot.

Inspiration

As I mentioned earlier, I was traveling, and I had to stop at the beauty that came before my eyes, kilometers and kilometers of sunflower fields. Be sure to return with more time to this place.

Editing

As I always shot in RAW, I made a revealed own settings: Contrast, lift shadows and white and give sharpness.

In my camera bag

I always carry my Canon 7D Mark II, the Sigma 17-50mm, the Canon 85 1.8, and at appropriate times my team joins the Sigma 10-20mm and the Canon 50mm. Whenever my tripod with me and my team Vanguard filters degraded. I usually shoot very little flash, so even carry it in my bag, almost never use, I would rather raise ISO if exposure permits.

Feedback

The most important thing I can recommend is that when they see the picture before his eyes, or in your mind, stop to realize it, the time will not happen again before their eyes. Therefore it is important to always carry the equipment bag in the trunk of the car, it is not known when it will be needed. In this type of photography it seems very important to play with depth of field, to give more visibility to the compositional element that we want to highlight.
