Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo while I was on a hiking trail in Hot Springs, NC.

Time

It was around mid-morning. My husband and I decided to go on a hike and take a look around. We had our three big dogs with us and I remember seeing the creek that was beside the trail would get bigger then smaller then back to being bigger. I also noticed that the trail was very hilly and rocky. We had decided to stop and rest and to give the dogs a break when I heard the little waterfall. In order for me to take the photo, it would mean I was required to descend the steep embankment of the trail, stable myself on some rocks and get the shot.

Lighting

I remember looking up at the canopy of the trees and seeing the light peeking through the leaves since it was a gorgeous day outside. I did however position myself in more of a shaded area to capture this photo.

Equipment

I shot with a Canon Rebel. 28-90mm lens No other equipment was used.

Inspiration

I just was just taking photos that caught my eye. This happened to be one of them.

Editing

Nope.

In my camera bag

Right now I have a Canon 60D with a 28-135mm lens. But I also have, different size lens, such as the 28-90mm lens, and a 18-55mm lens, an extra battery and extra sim cards.

Feedback

You will need to acquire a lot of patience and a bunch of trial and error. :)
