This photo was taken in a grassfield in front of our house.Time
I was walking in the field looking for something to take a photo off while I'm waiting for the sun to set. It was the 26th of June 2015. I saw on the grass a strange brown little bug, it looks like a bug (at that time I did know it was a kind of dragon fly) and I sat down and took a good look at this little brown thingy. Then I took my camera and think, maybe I must just take a picture of this little dragon fly with the sunset in the back ground. I was that time still learning my gear and did not know how to look at the photo before I took the next one.Lighting
Just for incase I took another photo with the manual flash on. Because I was practising and learning, I then sat and took a few pictures of the dragon fly. Because of the back ground so beautiful with the sunset colors I started to play with this brown dragon fly.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon PowerShot SX60SH - F/8 - 1/200 sec - Iso 250 - Manual FlashInspiration
I original went to take a photo of the sunset, but I was a bit early and then I was looking for something in the grass or on the ground just to play with, to keep me busy, waiting for the right moment for sunset.Editing
I did use the program Fotor to lighten up the picture a little bit and to crop it to the right size. But that is all, didn't do anything more, the photo is as is.In my camera bag
At the time that I took the photo, as I mentioned, I was still learning (and I'm still learning, but using a Canon EOS 70 D now) that was the reason that I only had my bridge camera with me. But now, normally in my bag is my mini tripod, flash, batteries, extra SD cards. My Canon EOS 70 D and sometimes I still took my SX60 with.Feedback
Don't be scare to use your flash if you shooting at something small while the sun is setting. Best back ground ever.
