" OCEAN BEAUTY " Finding a resting spot for any shell is always a hard thing especially when the beach you are on has a million wonderful places to set your composition. Following the light narrows that decision making process however when a even light presents itself I always shot for the clouds. To me filling my frame is important and almost a must. With this wide open in my aperture I create the illusion of abstract in the distance. Bold in blue the storm is intense but less noticeable in this image.

Location
This image was taken in The South Pacific Island of Fiji. Searching for many locations and different beaches I found this as one of my best locations. Due to the always changing weather, you can always bet something interesting will happen, like to spending storm in the background.Time
Normally, I shoot in the early hours of the morning for this kind of photography, but because of the overcast skies, I choose the mid-afternoon. I took advantage of the pending storm that produced this vibrant blue sky. The contrast of the green in the foreground and blue was the blending of this image.Lighting
Always look at the whole composition, for me, the light was perfect, even in nature with no shadows But most importantly the way the light cast the even tones across these colors. It's always important that my images have a solid content nature about them. I might bend from time-to-time to fill my canvas with interesting, instead of correct lighting.Equipment
On this shoot, I used my Nikon D300s and Nikon 70-200mm 2.8 / Tamron 11-16mm 2.8 I handheld this shot. I find it better to move around by hand holding. Because getting low is important tripods would have been restrictive in creating this perspective.Inspiration
What inspired me most to take this photo was the feeling I got once I got to this location. I've traveled to many places around the world but interestingly enough I have to have the feeling before it moves me towards actually taking the photograph. But in this particular case, I was moved by the sound of the ocean and the warmth in the air and the pending storm that provoked this sense of belonging. It's the way I shoot. With Passion.Editing
Well, with this image levels where a dominant factor and slight adjustments with the exposure in Photoshop. I try very hard to maintain the actual colors around me at the time of the shooting. I keep the image simple. I've seen lot's of, way out there post editing. Unreal colors that never existed. I maintain a constant average with realist values in all my images. In my camera bag
In my bag, I have all Nikon equipment. Starting with 2-Camera's, Nikon D810 Bodies. / Nikon 14-24mm 2.8 / Nikon 24-70mm 2.8 / Nikon 70-200mm 2.8 Nikon 105mm 2.8 Nikon SB-910 Flash.Feedback
My Advise to anybody trying to capture similar Images. Simple, If it feels right, it usually is. Individual expressions are what makes photography interesting. Make your own path that motivates your passion for the images you take. Once this takes place you'll only need yourself to validate your work. With all the digital content in the world, it's important to remember your own passion and not others.
