I love the way how you llighted the foreground in combination with stars on the background.

Behind The Lens

Location

Goblin Valley State Park near Hanksville Utah.

Time

About 2am

Lighting

I useda static LED light bar with a diffuser to softly light the hoodoos in the foreground.

Equipment

Nikon d810/Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 lens/Manfrotto Tripod

Inspiration

I love taking night images, and especially the Milky Way and the Aurora Borealis. There is nothing like the solitude of shooting the night sky in total darkness. It is truly awe-inspiring

Editing

I use Adobe Camera Raw in the beginning then import to Photoshop where I do final edits. I love NIK and Topaz plug-ins for processing

In my camera bag

Nikon d810/Samyang 14mm/Sigma 24-70/several different lights/a FotoDiox filter holder of daytime use/camelbak/and my tripod.. Cable shutter release

Feedback
