This is one of my favorite shots of the past year. It prints very well on fine art paper and a metal version print is just plain awesome.

Location
This is inside Upper Antelope Canyon in Arizona. The twin light beams only occur occasionally.Time
This was taken in late morning as the sun only lights the interior of this slot canyon for a brief period during the day.Lighting
Patience is required. The good sunlight does not last long in this canyon and a double beam is even more rare. A Native American guide is required as the slot canyon is on their land.Equipment
Canon 5D Mark III and a Canon 24-105 lens. A tripod is essential.Inspiration
I had heard about this location a number of times. Some research allowed me to determine the optimal time to join a tour of the slot canyon. After that it was mostly a matter of patience and working with multiple variations of lighting. Then we simply got lucky with the dual light beams coupled with a slow shutter speed.Editing
The post processing was pretty limited. This is one of those photos that pretty much captures the scene all at once. We got lucky. In my camera bag
A Canon 5DIII and both a 24-105 and a 17-24 lens. A couple of charged extra batteries and a pouch full of filters for varying occasions and lighting.Feedback
Trust to luck and patience. You can't rush the sun. Make multiple exposures and see later which ones you like best.
