The photo was taken in Baltray Beach, The wreck lies on Baltray Beach in County Louth. It was a 344-ton Irish Trader, of Hartlepool, grounded in 1974 en route from Sharpness to Drogheda with a cargo of fertiliser. Left now, is merely the Bow of the vessel and it's hanging on for dear life, soon to be detached and broken in two.Time
i remember this is the first and the last time that i been in this place, that is around 7:10 in the morning were just a newbie photographer on that time trying to catch the sunrise on that day, but unfortunately we got lost in the field and because of long walk and it so hard to find which side is the Ship wreck was, and the sun is almost there so together with my photographers friend we run to get the proper angle but the funny thing is i have no idea how to shoot sunrise and i have no filter at all so what i did is i under exposed my shot in Raw fileLighting
at first i was so disappointed when i saw some of the shots of my photographers friends, and i told to my self i wish i have the knowledge and the gear they have so i can do a better photo and take control of the light using long exposure and filters, all i have is a underexposed images which i think its not to bad for a newbie like me just to justify myself funny isn't itEquipment
this was shot on a Canon 650D with Sigma 10-20 wide angle lens with out any filterInspiration
i remember few weeks before we been in this place a friend of mine show me a lovely photo of a Ship wreck in sunrise so were inspired and decided to do some the shots in Baltray Ship Wreck but we are not as lucky as the owner of the photos, but now when i look back this photo it is inspired me more especially mine is totally different from the one that a friend of mine showed me before.Editing
yes i did post process in this images in photoshop to add a bit of a storyon my photo ,and to make stand out be different from the other photos that some other photographer took in baltray Ship WreckIn my camera bag
the first thing i always pack is my Canon 7D and Tokina 11-16 spare batteries shutter cable, Circular polarizer and some ND filtersFeedback
shoot from your heart and follow what you love most, don't be afraid to experiment shots if you failed in the first one keep on practice to make it perfect, I'm still like other photographer out there trying to improve myself there is always a new lesson for us to learn each day .. Go out and Shoot
