Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in one of Jakarta's Old Towns, in a coffee shop to be exact.

Time

I took the photo around 3pm while hunting for street photos with my friend. There are no special settings in the camera I use. Just 1 shot and it worked.

Lighting

I think 3pm is an interesting time considering the weather is almost golden hour. Moreover, this area is full of rows of old buildings and groups of people. If you are lucky you can play with shadows when the weather is clear.

Equipment

I used an old Panasonic GF-1 camera without a tripod, only with a rope and walking capital.

Inspiration

Incidentally, I want to build a community that combines the urban human side, there is an interesting history, as well as everyday stories in the world of journalism. And in my opinion, a coffee shop is a place where anything can be said. So this photo inspired me to create a ngopijakarta.com community

Editing

Nothing, I am a moment lover and this photo proves it.

In my camera bag

In addition to the camera, I usually bring a small book, light reading books, also insert light snacks such as bread and fresh drinks. This will be a new energy when from a distance observing the object to be photographed. It can also be while waiting for the moment to arrive.

Feedback

Approach the object and do everything shamelessly. Pay close attention to some of their sensory expressions and body language. Don't forget to pray to always meet luck to catch the moment.
