Behind The Lens

Location

This picture was taken in my neighbors front yard. I was "working" from home that day, but it was much too nice outside to say cooped up at my desk.

Time

This was late morning.

Lighting

The air was crsip and the sky was a deep blue.

Equipment

I was using a Canon T3i with a Sigma 18-200 lens.

Inspiration

The sky was so beautiful that day and the sun was already hanging pretty low in the southern sky, I just started playing around with that crisp light and the different plants in my yard and my neighbor's. I just kept shooting from different angles, just having fun with no real plan.

Editing

I had to bring down the exposure a bit more to bring out the depth of color in the sky, but that was about it.

In my camera bag

The stuff I mentioned above plus a 50mm and a Volga lens (24mm).

Feedback

Play. Keep basic rules of composition in mind, but don't let those dictate how you create your story.
