Location
I took this photo at my father's home in Aveyron in the south of France.Time
It was at 7:15 pm in NovemberLighting
It was a very clear and cool evening without light pollution and without atmospheric disturbances, the light reflected by the Moon was a little blonde and the contours were very clear. I withdrew my telescope eyepiece to place my compact camera which offered a superior clarity.Equipment
I used a 10 cm Meade LX90 telescope for astronomic optics and I placed a compact camera - Optio LS 465 zoom x5 16 megapixels - instead of the eyepiece. All that on a tripod for telescope.Inspiration
I love spending time under a starry sky in this region of France where the nights are perfect for astronomy and particularly for the Moon.Editing
I have carefully outlined the Moon with an app found on the Internet and pasted it on a white background. In my camera bag
I have a Pentax K10D fitted with Pentax 18-55 mm and a lightweight tripod. And here a compact camera Pentax Optio LS 465.Feedback
A clear dark night without atmospheric disturbances. Take an amateur telescope with a traditional equatorial tracking and replace the eyepiece with the lens of your compact camera. You ll have to find the lens alignment and positioning. Take a few shots with different timed exposures. Zoom in for focusing.
