Location
This photograph was taken it St Peter Port Guernsey in the town square outside HMVTime
This was taken at 5:15 pm, i had originally gone earlier on in the day but there was a market on and there was dozens of people around the car so getting a shot was impossible. I'm glad i went back later as i love the Christmas lights reflecting off of the car that are on the wall of the HMV building.Lighting
i didn't use any lighting equipment, just a long exposure so i could capture the christmas lights reflecting off of the carEquipment
this was shot with a Canon 600d on a tripod with a sigma 10-20mm at f10 for roughly 20 seconds, no other equipment was used.Inspiration
This Mclaren mp4-12c was a prize for a local charity raffle that was being held, i knew the odds on myself winning it were slim so i wanted to get myself a great shot of it.Editing
The only editing done to this image was a slight contrast adjustmentIn my camera bag
the gear i usually carry around with me is my canon 5D (I've upgraded from my 600d), sigma 18-30 wide angle, 50mm 1.4 and a canon 70-200mm. i have a few graduated filters but i don't really use them very often.Feedback
i'd never photographed cars before this so was unsure what angle to take from, i got this through trial and error. think i took about 5 or 6 shots from different angles and this was the one i was most happy with.
