Behind The Lens

Location

Playground in afternoon light.

Time

Afternoon as sun was setting and lots of shadows from a bright sunny day

Lighting

I noticed the shadows from the angle of he sun on the playground, making sure to capture the details of the playground on my son.

Equipment

I used an iPhone 6

Inspiration

I always pay attention to the light that is around me, even if I don't have my Nikon SLR on me I still take the chance and always have some type of camera accessible to me.

Editing

I always be sure to crop if needed if my view isn't exactly the vision that I had after reviewing the shot.

In my camera bag

I use a Nikon D3100, previously as well a Canon EOS.

Feedback

I always pay attention to light, expressions, and my surroundings. At this moment I asked my child to not move and be still, which is hard at times for active kids. However I told him the lighting pattern on him is what I loved and he looked really cool. He then was posing for me and being able to ignore the camera a bit as I like to shoot photojournalist in style in natural light.
