Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Whitehorse, Yukon. Canada.

Time

Approx 5 am.

Lighting

I shot it in low light, I used a small lampshade and the glare of the T.V

Equipment

I used my D5100 and my D3100's remote a 50mm lens.

Inspiration

I wanted to express how I was feeling, I felt something dark, kind of like an " Alone in the world " feeling. I have been forced to move back home due to lack of employment and almost living life in poverty, even becoming close to alcohol abuse and smoking. I've been applying for work and working on my photography at every moment imaginable, I've been trying to get my work out to thee world to view and hopefully start a Career in Photography, but as every photographer knows, it's a VERY hard and long road to walk. But it's taken me away from alcohol and drug abuse, I find photography to be a

Editing

I used my D5100 Nikon software and played with the brightness and compositions and sharpness, I wanted to find a way to show all the nook and cranny of my face and some scaring.

In my camera bag

I normally have my D5100 18-55 Kit lens 55-200mm 5.6 lens and my 50mm 1.8g lens Which is all of my equipment.

Feedback

my advise about capturing something similar to my photo is. I hope that no one has to live a second of what I've had to go through in life to find their passion, find something that makes your heart soar, and most importantly, something you love and care for. If you take a photo you your self are in love with and it gives you hope, you will never go wrong.
