Behind The Lens

Location

Crab Island, Lake Champlain, Vermont

Time

8:00 PM

Lighting

Sunset over the lake lights everything up in a special way. It's an out of body experience.

Equipment

Cannon EOS 60D, Wide Angle Lens, Tripod, Remote Shutter Release

Inspiration

I love getting out on the Lake where i can get any angle I want towards the sun or skyline. Going to these types island were very few people go to shoot something original. Its also an island where soldiers who died of typhoid were buried during the revolutionary war. You get a feeling you're not alone.

Editing

Yes this is an HDR shot which I edited in Lightroom.

Camera, Wide, Tripod and a Pelican Box.

Feedback

I would say don't limit your shots to a coast line. Find a way get out there in the water and learn to shoot with a steady hand.
