Location
This photo was taken near a rural area of south east queensland, Australia.Time
This was taken first thing at around 6am one morning on my way home from work. I used to work nights and relished the chance to get my camera out!Lighting
I waited for the right morning and light from the sunrise to work with these silos. It took a few weeks of waiting, but eventually my patience paid off and the light and clouds worked together!Equipment
Shot on a canon 7D with a 10-22mm wide angle lens, with a basic tripod.Inspiration
I first found these silos well before this shot and thought they showed a good example of a rural landscape. So I just waited for a nice sunrise and then let it work from thereEditing
Mainly I focused my post processing work on making the foreground brighter and making the colours pop more.In my camera bag
I have a 10-22mm and 17-55mm lens, with a cpl and nd filter, tripod, shutter release, and some cleaning equipment.Feedback
Be patient. For every image like this I have taken hundreds of duds. Witg enought persistence, you will get the shot you want.
