The wind was kicking up at Burningman Festival 2013 located in Black Rock Desert, Nevada. After having several cameras ruined at the festival in years past, I've learned to put gaffers tape around most of the openings of my camera. That alkali playa dust is a camera killer.

I've only been lucky enough to go to Burning Man once in 2012 and I couldn't bring myself to carry the camera. I was having way too much fun my first time!

Great photo! It really captures the essence of Burning Man! Black Rock City is one neverending smorgasbord of wonderful photo opportunities!I try to go every other year. The big problem is getting enough sleep!

Love your BM pics too. I have visited Barbie Death Camp many times and it is one of my favorite theme camps. I usually camp very near there. I like staying far away from the esplanade because I need my beauty sleep! lol.

I hope to be there in 2021. Please drop by and say hi at at Barbie Death Camp. Thanks! Tripod BTW- I use the Panasonic FZ 35 as a camera that I can "allow to die if necesssary". So far, (in 5 years at BM), I have only had one join the "dear departed", and that one had the flash self destruct because I tend to use fill flash 95% of the time in the harsh sunlight. All I do to protect them is keep them in a plastic bag between shots. Warm Regards
