This little girl was asking one of my fellow hikers if our team of backpackers, hiking through the back roads and paths of Uganda, were advance scouts for a future invasion of soldiers. We had 2 Ugandan "game wardens" with us, in uniform (turns out they were really police), forced upon us by the Ugandan govt so they could make some money off these rich Americans.
In light of the violent past in her country, no surprise for her worry. I hope we put her mind at ease. Again, this is a scanned film print, so pardon the quality. But it's a fine story, I think.

Very engaging image. Certainly not just a snapshot. Hints at an alluring story. Either your scan is top-quality or the film camera is pretty good as the images come up (the hut one too) very well.

Canon 35mm SLR film camera. HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus All-in-One scanner. Set at 600 DPI. Posted more for the story than the photo excellence, but for what I started with, I was pretty happy.

When Helen was in Uganda they were digging a well. A ten week job. They had to wear Army fatigues and they were sweltering. I bet the skirt would have been cooler. Anyway...I digress....voted fab photo as usual Gracie.
