i did this on my own eye just turning the camera around having no idea whether it was in focus or not.

This photo was taken in the Chobe National Park in Botswana and shows wild Elephants.

Behind The Lens

Location

Hi I am a self taught photographer who loves making things come to life in photo. This photo was taken at knypersley pool in biddulph, stoke on trent.

Time

I took this photo in the afternoon on a foggy cold winters day which adds atmosphere to the photo.

Lighting

The fog in the photo helped to add atmosphere and make the colour pop out more. It is all natural lighting.

Equipment

I used the canon 600D digital SLR

Inspiration

I took this photo for an A level photography topic on colour. I wanted to experiment with how color brings a photo to life. I also wanted to experiment with telling a story through colour as shown in this photo.

Editing

The only editing I did was to remove color from the majority of the photo so that the umbrella stood out.

Feedback

Make the most of the environment you are in and be adaptable. I wasn't expecting fog on this shoot but it completely transformed the photos adding to the story.
