Location
Taken just outside the West Midlands in a secret location :-)Time
This picture was taken mid day around 12.30Lighting
Taken mainly with natural light but had to use a speed flats to bring out the models face and armsEquipment
I used a tripod a cheap speed light the name slips by me at the min but with my canon 600d and a 24-105 canon lens Also one small soft box on a stand . And 4people to help me create this picture.Inspiration
Always been into levitation if you have ever been in a town centre when a guy sits levitatiing with a little donation box in front of him I used to wonder how does he do that so it gave me the idea to try a levitation shoot , which if you have never tried one you should lots of fun but you need lots of patience to but over all worth trying. Just remember to take your lunch as this can take a while to get the image you want . Also I should mention a tripod is a must any one will do and a remote trigger as you want the camera to stay as still as possible .Editing
I edited the back ground enhancing the colours also had to crop the image as the model looked a bit lost .In my camera bag
Using my faithful canon 600d with a 24-105mm canon lense and a 32gig class 10 memory card . One speed light with a soft box 10inches square. Speed light was on full power at a distance about 9ft .Feedback
Ask a friend family member or book a model well worth trying have tried this with my friends dog but it can take a longtime so resorted back to a human as I could cumulicate better. Well worth trying not just in the woods or a meadow city centres can look great with someone holding onto a lamppost or just jumping as people walk past . You will need a fast shutter speed of 200 or more and a low depth of field poss depending on how you want the back ground to look I prefer in focus as this makes the image look more natural .
