Location
I took this photo at a restaurant called, PJ's Pancake House, in Princeton, New Jersey.Time
This is one of my favorite photos I've ever taken. We were visiting my sister's in-laws in New Jersey, and PJ's was recommended for breakfast. I couldn't wait for my coffee (as always) and when it arrived, the shot just came to me.Lighting
I got lucky. The overhead lighting was the lamp you see reflected in the coffee itself.Equipment
I actually used an iPhone 4 for this shot. It's hard to believe now, I always wonder what it would look like taken with the most recent model of iPhone.Inspiration
Everything about the restaurant set-up, the table, the lamp, and the arrival of the coffee, just made it come together with little thought.Editing
This photo required little editing, I used an app on said phone, called "Simply HDR" and used a simple filter. In my camera bag
I always have my phone on me (which is where many of my photos come from). I also like using a Nikon 200 with a 50mm lens.Feedback
Always have an eye out for something that looks beautiful to you. I like to look at objects/landscapes, etc, like they are already art. It then becomes fairly easy to frame in your mind and onto the camera.
