Taken with a Canon Rebel SL1 kit lens (hand held, no flash)

Inspiration

I love birds and this little owl was an ambassador for his species at the World Bird Sanctuary. He can never be released do to a problem with one of his eyes

Editing

I cropped the photo and adjusted the contrast slightly in Lightroom and blurred the background a little in photoshop.

In my camera bag

Just my camera Canon SL1 with a Sigma 18-300mm lens some macro filters and a ND filter.

Feedback

I'm still learning so i don't really have advice to give except just get out there and keep shooting, always have your camera ready. I've missed so many photo opps of birds because i didn't have my camera with me.
