Location
Photo was taken at the Chep Lak Kok International Airport in Hongkong. Arriving excitedly early in the morning from the Philippines, I was on my way to a training on Watershed Management in Kathmandu, Nepal. I took lots of photos to document my experience since it was the first time I travelled abroad alone.Time
Photo was taken at 11:40 in the morning. I was walking aimlessly during a 6 hour layover to explore the airport and find a restaurant for lunch.Lighting
Lighting is particularly important in this photo because shadows are involved. Because of the shadows, it looks as if the people are walking on straight paths or lanes toward the focal point and the curved glass wall produced the tunnel effect.Equipment
I used a Sony DSC-W70 digital camera that my older sister gave to me. At that time, I could not afford to buy one.Inspiration
I was attracted at the light streaming through the glass panels and how futuristic it looked.Editing
I converted it to black and white to put emphasis on the contrast of light and dark, the shadows and the patterns these created. In my camera bag
Just my iphone 5 and ipad. The camera I used in this photo is already out of service.Feedback
Look for interesting patterns and take the shot from an angle that creates an interesting and unique visual.
