The fisherman on the rock were watching the sunset at Bronte Beach, Sydney, while a storm was approaching. The sky looked amazing showing the golden colour of the sunset and the black clouds of the storm. How spectacular our mother nature can be. I am glad I can capture those moments.

I took this photo in Sydney, Bronte beach.Time
I love to create photos of the setting sun.Lighting
As the sun was setting some heavy storm clouds were showing up. What a brilliant photo opportunity. I took three different photos using the bracketing technique (correct exposure, one below and one above exposure). I applied the HRD technique to combine all three photos and created this photo.Equipment
I used a canon camera 5D and a wide angle lens and tripod.Inspiration
Since I moved to Sydney, I love hanging out at the beaches during sunset times. That particular day, I was playing with my camera and took photos for fun. I noticed that the storm clouds came in and thought this was a great opportunity to take photos using the HRD technique as it captures the dark as well as the sunlight the way the human eye sees it. To me this photo shows how there is the dark and the light and how it co-exists on Earth. The message I get is that even though there is the dark, the light is pushing through it to expose it. Light is winning - like in current times of the great awakening. In order to ascend we have to acknowledge both, the dark and the light within ourselves.Editing
I used the HDR technique using three different exposures with my tripod and combined all of these images into one.In my camera bag
When I go for landscape photos, I always carry around my Canon 5D camera, the canon wide angle, zoom and macro 100mm lens with me. The macro lens is very handy for any close ups of flowers I see. For any low light situations, I bring my tripod with me.Feedback
My advise is always to go with the flow and follow your intuitions. Practice, have fun and play where you can break the rules. That's where the magic comes in. In the end, don't forget it is your vision as an artist.
