Behind The Lens

Location

This is my daughter. This was just a casual shot of her smiling up at me from the floor. She was so beautiful I had to take a few pictures. This one is my favorite.

Time

It was late in the afternoon indoors. We were bored and just playing around.

Lighting

I wish I could claim special lighting, but it was shot with regular indoor overhead lights. I'm such an amateur that I wouldn't know how to set up proper lighting anyway. All of my photos are regular home lighting or the sun.

Equipment

This was shot from my Windows phone. I just got lucky with a beautiful subject.

Inspiration

My daughter is such a beautiful and happy girl and this was just a random perfectly timed moment.

Editing

I used perfect 365 which is a simple phone app. It has many featured but I just used to to smooth out her skin.

In my camera bag

No bag...lol. I am strictly a point and shoot cell phone photograper.

Feedback

Honestly if you are an amateur like me, my best advise it to always look for the shot. Keep your camera handy and battery charged, then look at everything like it could be a portrait. If you aproach everything from that angle you might be surprised at what things start to look photogenic.
