This is from a series of images I'm working on called Intimate Folds, involving taking photographs, printing them, lighting them, then photographing them. So this is a photo of a photo of flowers. The stalks at the bottom below the bottom edge of the inset photograph are painted on later to add a surreal sense of dimension, with the flower growing into the photograph.
