Love the composition. I would probably try zooming in even more and using the rule of thirds to crop the photo and try lots of alternative compositions.

You are a real softie Steve . Your wife is a lucky lady . I think that it is a lovely photo and also a memory .

it is a bit too much to the centre .. but nice detail .. try different angles in your composition .. perhaps try bracketing and see which exposure works best .. Cheers Steve !!

You have great focus of the center. Maybe crop the bottom to take out the distraction of the bottom center and what Karen said. Pretty good the way it is Steve.

Beautiful! I love the tone. Yes, the petal at the bottom is a bit of a distraction but overall, it's a very nice capture.

well-done macro - very focused on a distinct part of the bloom with the rest blurry

I read your caption after I wrote my previous comment. Have you tried stacking more than one image to get full focus yet still have a shallow DOF macro?

Really? I think this is wonderful. You can see all the little hairs on the inside of the leaf. :-) Have you tried backlighting them a bit? Or using a lightbox? I think this came out awesome Steve. :-)
