Behind The Lens

Location

In the dining room.

Time

During the night.

Lighting

It was used 2 continous light sources. One key light and one contour light.

Equipment

The key light was a fresnel and the contour light was a simple strong flashlight. I used also a black reflector behind the model.

Inspiration

A competition about the impostance of yellow. I had already seen an image where the light colour was yellow. I hadl already seen a book about Cararvaggio and his treatment of light and shadows.

Editing

Yes. I darkned the background and did a small dodge&burn treatment.

In my camera bag

When I take a trip, a superzoom camera, a flash and a tripoid. However, at the studio I use a D600 Nikon and strobe lighting.

Feedback

Turn off all the light. Use a fresnel lamp pointed to the subject at 45 degree. Use a contour light to separete the subject from the background. Test different exposures as much as you can.
