Great colours in the frost. I have a second story bedroom window that creates great patterns on the coldest of days. One morning, I took 189 photos in just over a half hour then watched the shadow from the school give way to the rising sun. All was gone with exception of the photos. Love your work.

Thank you so much! Yes, it really is quite incredible all the awesome images can come from such a thing as frost on a window. With the right light, some can be so beautiful. No idea how many frost shots I've taken over the years but I do have faith I will be taking many more before I'm thorugh! Thank you again, Jim, much appreciated! :-)

I took this photo of frost on the window in our loft one morning. With the new morning sun coming up, the colors made it hard to resist!Time
Early morning.Lighting
All natural, new morning light through the window.Equipment
Nikon D7000, Sigma macro lens, hand held, natural light.Inspiration
The beauty of what I seen inspired me to take this photo.Editing
I used Redfield's Fractalius filter in Adobe Photoshop. In my camera bag
Nikon D7000 with 70-300mm, Sigma 105mm Macro and a Sigma 17-50mm. My new camera however, is not a DSLR, I went to the mirrorless and got myself an Olympus E-M5MarkII along with an Olympus 12-40mm lens and a 60mm Olympus Macro lens. With a telephoto is on my wish list!Feedback
