Location
This picture of a "fly" was taken in my backyard, since i'm a self-learner and I just bought a new 105 mm micro lens and want to try it, so I went outside and find something to shoot and I found this fly.Time
Since this is the first time I got a micro lens, and I want to try it right away after I picked up from the post office in the afternoon after work probably about 5:00 pm.Lighting
I like using natural light, and that afternoon the light from the sitting sun was perfect.Equipment
I used a Nikon D7100 with 105 mm micro lens handheld.Inspiration
I was looking for something small to try my micro lens, and I found the fly just on the top of the cloth line. Slowly I went closer with out the fly noticing my lens to just about six inches.Editing
I adjust the exposure and crop it a little bit in picasa. In my camera bag
What's in my bag? I have a one and a half year old, Nikon D7100 with MB 15 and 18-105 kit lens, Nikon 105 mm 2.8 micro lens, Nikon 80-400 mm and my old 17-35 2.8 Sigma lens, SB 26 flash which I use it as my off camera flash, and my old 800I UT Sunpak tripod.Feedback
Patient, patient, patient, shooting macro specially insect need a lot of patient, if you don't have that maybe try Still life macro.
