Location
I was rummaging around in the garden, clearing up a few odds and ends and a few weeds when I spotted this frog on one of the borders. Catching it, I asked my son if he'd like to hold it. I then rushed to get my camera and took the shot of it in my son's hand.Time
This is one of my best close up images, taken on a Sunday morning on the last day of August 2014 at 10:23.Lighting
There was nothing special about the lighting for this shot. It was taken in the morning with an overcast sky, and I hadn't adjusted the exposure, so needed to be lighted up in photoshop afterwards.Equipment
Nikon D7100, Nikon 28-300.0 mm f/3.5-5.6G Aperture priority. ISO 800 f8.0, 1/1000 seconds focal length 180 mm My only regret is that I didn't shoot with my Sigma 105mm macro lens.Inspiration
I just wanted to take a close up shot of a frog. I knew frogs frequent our garden, but it's always difficult to find one when you want to. Taking the opportunity when it arose was the only way to get this shot.Editing
The images was cropped and lightened in Photoshop. In my camera bag

Whilst planning ahead is always good, but you need to take your opportunities where you can. Think quickly the opportunity presents itself and be prepared to change lenses at a moments notice if possible. Other than that take the best shot you can with the equipment you have immediately available.
