Inspired by another photo I saw on here, I decided to go back and edit one that I had taken.

Experimenting with dropping objects in water. Flipped this picture over for a more interesting outcome.

This shot was taken coming in gate 5 on the south side of the Alamo, looking north.

Experimenting with snowflake macros. Not quite where I was hoping to be with detail and quality, but still not too bad for my first attempt. Definitel

In my back yard

Time

Late afternoon.

Lighting

Lighting was all natural from the sun.

Equipment

I used a Canon T3, standard 18mm-55mm kit lens, with a screw on macro filter (+2 power)

Inspiration

I was doing yard work when I saw this egg perched just right on the grass. I stopped what I was doing, went in to get my camera, and started shooting.

Editing

The only post processing in the image was boosting the colors a bit, as well as the contrast.

In my camera bag

My bag is very simple, my camera, two kit lenses (18mm-55mm standard and 70mm-300mm zoom) as well as a 50mm prime. I also have various extension tubes and screw on lens filters for macro use (+1, +2, & +4).

Feedback

Always be on the lookout for ordinary things that can become an extraordinary image. There is a lot around us everyday that is easy to overlook.
