I took this photo in Boulder, CO in my dad's '69 Chevelle.Time
It was about 2pm and it was during the summer.Lighting
We parked under some shade trees to diffuse the bight sunshine.Equipment
Just used my Sony A58 camera! No flash, as I liked the diffused lighting from the shade.Inspiration
My friend wanted to get together to do a "rocker chick" inspired photo shoot. She is both in a band and works in film and wanted to get some edgy photos of her for both album cover artwork and head shots. We had a great time using my dad's '69 Chevelle and having her dress up in rock n roll inspired looks.Editing
I did post process this in Lightroom - adjusted the lighting some and made this a black and white portrait. I really liked the feel of black and white for this particular photo. In my camera bag
I have very little equipment right now, as I'm still learning! I have a Sony A58 camera with it's stock lens, and I also have a Tamron lens I take with me for nature photography. I also keep a box of props in my car for photo shoots!Feedback
Taking a reflection photo can be a challenge if you aren't able to get the right angle, but this worked out well because the car was roomy for me to move around and avoid being seen in the rearview mirror. Be creative with your positioning if you want to get a reflection photo and have limited space to work in. Also getting creative with the lighting can help make the image pop. I liked the diffuse look of this lighting that gave the photo a bit of a glow and more vintage look.
