"Inflaming Serenity" - 2014 by JC Kirk of Old 81 Studios.

This piece is a new favorite. My kids and I enjoyed this moment in July 2014 and the title is meant to be somewhat of a contradiction as that moment was intense (and I was passionate in getting some shots) yet there was a calmness that was peaceful there in that moment with my kids and with people from all around the world.

In order for me to get as many shots as I did, I compromised a higher ISO instead of lugging my nice and heavy tripod around and taking time to set up each shot that I wanted. This (and many other shots from the Grand Canyon NP that day) was hand held.
