The Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Fiesta

Time

The festival starts very early in the morning when the winds are usually calmer.

Lighting

The sun was just coming up and made for decent natural lighting.

Equipment

No Flash, No tripod. I was too worried about the rough landing, and with good reason. :0)

Once we were up, there were so many great opportunities you couldn't help but take some great pics.

Feedback

Yes - Its great to get Airborne and gives you a whole new perspective. The balloon rides are quite expensive though, so if you are more the frugal type, there are lots of photo Ops on the ground too! If you walk around, a lot of crews will be happy for the extra hand, and may even let you join the chase crew! Loads of fun!
