Always use a flash to freeze the subject and best to shoot handheld. Use flash or very high speed at least 1/200. Manual 1/8 -0.3EVEquipment
Nikon D300, reversed kit lens 18-55mm. Flash SB700 with DIY diffuser. The reversed kit lens 18-55mm is equivalent to 1x to 3x.Shoot manual 3 forward and 3 backwards.Inspiration
My love for nature especially micro insects and spiders and flowers tooEditing
Some sharpening and adjustment for contrast and removal of spots and dust.In my camera bag
Nikon D300, reversed 18-55mm kit G lens so have to put a small piece of plastic to keep the lens open so that I can see through the lens , nikon flash SB700 and DIY diffuser.Feedback
Use manual mode for camera, flash manual 1/8 flash EV -0.3. Shoot 3 shots forward and 3 shots backwards. The most important shot is the one focused on the eyes of the critter.
