sunny days along the California coast often become foggy in the late afternoon. At the beach, one just hopes Mother Nature delivers her goods while standing behind a tripod.

kit: canon 5dIII and an ultra wide lens, canon's 17-40 f/4L. Like many of my shots, I got really really low and was sitting down using my Benro CF travel angel tripod

Feedback

patience is key- ask locals if they wouldn't mind standing in a shot as a silhouette- but most key is to have fun and don't worry if you get any keepers or not. For many, photography is an escape, so have fun and don't sweat the small stuff.
