Behind The Lens

Location

This little piggy was tethered outside an open window on the street in Boston outside of a bar. The folks that own it are seated just above. Everyone stopped to pet the pig. It seemed very happy and loved the attention.

Time

Happy Hour in late springtime.

Lighting

Shot with natural light.

Equipment

Nikon D610 and most lily a 35mm prime lens.

Inspiration

I was taking a street photography class at Northeastern with Harvey Stein (well known street photographer). And the pig was adorable, and not something I don't see everyday.

Editing

By the looks of it I ran it through EFX Pro using the HDR filter.

In my camera bag

Nikon D610 and a Nikkor 24-120 lens, or 35mm Prime.

Feedback

Harvey Stein taught me to introduce myself, ask to take the photo, and learn a little something about each subject. In so doing, I've met a lot of people on the streets and no one has ever turned me down from taking their photo. Be friendly - not sneaky or predatory.
