Behind The Lens

Location

We were traveling through India, and each morning as we were walking through the small towns we were visiting often saw the people getting ready for their day. I wasn't sure if they would be upset by me taking a photo, but the barber gave me the ok, so i started to take a few shots - I loved the colour of the blue doors against the green interior.

Time

This was taken early morning.

Lighting

The light was a struggle, as the interior was not lit - so i had to over expose the exterior and play around a little in post production to get it right.

Canon 5D mark II - 24-70mm lens

The colours

Editing

Post processing in getting the balance of light right between the indoor and outdoor lighting as there was no internal light on in the small hut.

In my camera bag

as we were traveling, I was traveling light - just my 5D and the one lens - 24-70mm to help me capture the experience

Feedback

India is rich in vibrant colours - and the smaller villages have a more rental pace to life than a big city, so bathing in the rivers, washing and going to the barber was a normal start to the day
