Love this spot and you captured it well. How do you get access for sunrise shots? Awesome!

Location
This image was shot in Edisto, SC at Botany Bay on boneyard beach.Time
This image was shot at sunrise which was around 6 am on memorial day weekend back in 2013.Lighting
I couldn't ask for a better sky for a sunrise image, The cloud coverage enable the golden sunlight to spread through the clouds and sky nicely.Equipment
I shot this with a Canon 7D, Canon 10-22mm lens, with a Manfrotto 055xprob tripodInspiration
When we booked a trip to the beach, I started searching photo blogs to find key landscapes to shoot while we were there. I came across Botany Bay and decided this is a must! I was lucky to get a perfect morning for a sunriseEditing
I Post-Processed this image using Lightroom, not too much other than the basic sliders and a little vibrate but not too muchIn my camera bag
My Camera bag is usually packed with 2 camera bodies, my Canon 6D and Canon 7D, the lenses that are always in my bag are Canon 16-35L f/4is, Canon 24-70L 2.8v2, and Canon 70-200L 2,8isII. I usually pack my Induro CT213 Carbon fiber tripod matched with an Induro BHL2 ball head. I also carry a Canon 580exII flash, a Marumi 82mm CPL filter with adapter rings, a trigger trap dongle, my iPhone 6s plus, a shutter release cable, and some cleaning cloths.Feedback
I recommend to be patient and get out there about 30 minutes before the sun comes over the horizon. I also recommend using bug spray if you are going out to botany bay, there are some awful sand fleas that bite you. wait for the sun to just break the horizon and have your composition set.
