You made this boat look so majestic. The composition and clarity of focus. You nailed it! Great shot!

I actually felt like I needed to get out of the way! Nice perspective.

Location
This photo was taken at Dungeness Beach, Kent, UKTime
Mid afternoonLighting
It had been a very grey day and I was about ready to give up when the clouds started breaking to form this back drop. Right place, right time!Equipment
I used my Sony A55 SLT with a standard 18-55mm kit lens and a Hoya Skylight 1B filter.Inspiration
The day I took this photo I was out on a shoot with a friend who was experimenting with a new camera. It had been a rather grey day and we were about ready to head home when then clouds started breaking. Whist trying to capture an angle to include to clouds I noticed the boats bow was split and decided to lay flat out on the cold shingle to try and captured an unorthodox point of view.Editing
This photo was lightly edited in Photoshop Elements 12 mainly to crop and lighten the shadows. In my camera bag
Sony A55 SLT, Sony SAL 18-55mm 3.5-5.6 lens, Sony SAL 55-200mm 4-5.6 lens, Sony35mm lens, a collection of different filters, Sony remote control, spare batteries and memory cards, cleaning equipment and a Manfrotto tripod.Feedback
My advise would be to experiment with different angles, look for different/creative points of view and be prepared to put yourself in uncomfortable positions.
