This shot was taken around June 4th outside of a lodge near Crater lake Oregon.Three inches of snow fell the night before, and we were a little worried because we had no snowtires on the car. There was stll alot of snow around from the winter in 20 foot drifts. In fact part of the roads were not open due to the snow from the wintertime.Time
I took this shot in the afternoon. The chairs were put out to take in the sun a few days beforeLighting
I was sitting inside the lodge next to a roaring fire and didn't want to go outside with being dressed for June. I finally said I got to take this shot before it gets dark, and thinking the snow might melt from the chairs the next day.Equipment
A Sony 7 AR II with a Sony 18-250 lense and a uv filterInspiration
I wanted to show how in this part of the country it snows, and can still be very cold in June. This was one of my first pictures near Crater lake.I then took alot of pictures at this beautiful lake, perhaps my favorite in the world.Editing
Did not do alot on this picture maybe a little lighting overallIn my camera bag
When travelling I keep my bag light: camera and lense attached on a strap that I can pull up the camera at a moments notice, polarizing filter, three batteries, extra memory cards, and alot of cleaning stuff.Feedback
Take your camera everywhere with you even if you think you will be just sitting by the fire.
