Location
This photo was taken in Northern Arizona on the Mogollon Rim, on the way to Knoll Lake Campground.Time
After a long day of fishing at Woods Canyon Lake, I decided to head over to Knoll Lake to finish up the day. As I came around a long sweeping turn I remember seeing this amazing view and couldn't pass up the opportunity to capture it. I took this photo at around 2pm.Lighting
I really wanted to try to catch the expansive valley while ensuring I was able to maintain contrast between the fire ravaged trees on the near mountainside and the lush green trees that covered the rest of the valley.Equipment
I believe this was taken with my CoolPix.Inspiration
My inspiration for this photo was purely the beauty of the landscape. Something really struck me about the way the burnt, dead trees seemed to be calmed and soothed by all the new growth. I also couldn't miss the drastic change in the rocky ridge versus the rolling green hills that make up the background.Editing

I generally carry my Canon Rebel with a 200mm lens as well ad my 50mm lens.Feedback
Really the best advice I could give would be to just always have your eyes open to your surroundings and stay open to using different types of scenery together to make your photo come alive.
