Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada

Time

Middle of afternoon and waiting for the rain to stop

Lighting

I like the combination of purple and blue that's why i notice this flower

Equipment

My nikon d7000 and i used a tokina 100 mm macro lens with my nikon sb700 flash

Inspiration

I love flower photography, maybe because i love gardening as well. So when i planned my trip to Banff National Park i made sure i have my Macro lens with me. I was inspired by the different types of flowers at the garden and i started taking photos, not even noticing how much time i have spent there!.

Editing

I processed in Lightroom 4.3 and photoshop cs6, I do basic editing in lightroom and sharpening in cs6 and used plug ins as well like nik software collection

In my camera bag

I always carry three lens and my tripod nikon d7000 tokina 11-16mm tokina macro 100mm sigma 120-400mm my newest lens the nikon 50 1.8g

Feedback

Timing is very important Always check the weather (i don't like blue skies with no clouds, bad for photography^^) you don't even need to go far with flower photography, some of my photos are just outside our house
